How It Works

You pre-select a “Hamper Hero” per table, an easy role but best to choose someone confident. They will carve the main joint & share out the dishes within the hamper (it’s interesting to see how different people tackle the role - some enlist the help of others on the table, others work solo!).

You will want to provide some form of instruction to them as to what they will be doing - either in writing or by announcement - some people inform them beforehand most people keep it secret & put the information on their place setting. 

Feel free to go to town on the hamper hero props - in the past couples have provided them with everything from aprons to hats to glasses to beards and moustaches!

We just need to know where they are sitting so that we can insure their ‘serving implements' are in place! Where table space is limited we provide black butler tables to put the hampers onto.

If you are dividing up long trestle tables (We reccomend 10-14 guests per hamper) then you will need to either give hamper heroes the names of guests they are serving from their hamper or have a visual marker between different hamper groupings (the first is the most practical option).

Each hamper is tailored to the correct number of guests & the correct special dietary requirements. Any special dietary requirements will be given a plate of their ‘special’ alternatives (closely mirroring the standard dish but tailored to be suitable for them) & they can then help themselves to the standard dishes which they can eat. You will need to locate them on the table plan.

  Prices Are for 2022 & are fully inclusive of Staff, crockery, cutlery, service ware, & there is no VAT to add.

Glassware & linen are not included but we offer glassware hire at 26p (2023 27p) per item (including delivery, lay up & clear away) & can offer advice on linen hire/purchase.  

The only 2 potential additional costs would be for a kitchen setup within a venue/ marquee with little or no Commercial facilities & staff equipment travel costs to a venue some distance from our base in Bwlch, nr Brecon.

Both these costs are dependent upon the menu & Guest numbers & will be quoted upon request.
